Friendship: A Bond for Eternity

Friendship is the cornerstone of any relationship. It either forms the foundation of a relationship or it strengthens the foundation of a relationship. 

Very often friendship forms a precursor to a lifelong bond. Friendship is that what precedes love, it strengthens the bonds between a parent and their child, helping both connect to each other, and at times, if you don't like the unnecessary attention of someone, it is the zone which you can keep them in. 

Man, and yes woman, may socialise, but that may not necessarily lead to a friendship. That leads to connection but not necessarily friendship. Friends on social media is not the same as having the physical presence of a friend.

A friend is someone who will stand you through thick and thin. That's why they say that you know who your true friends are when you fall on bad times. They will be there for you, the time and place doesn't matter. You need them and they will be there for you.

Friends are the ones who accept you for who you are. It doesn't matter what your preferences are, what your leaning are, whether your straight or gay. They love you for who you are, and their love is pure. Your religious beliefs doesn't matter to them.

They overlook your shortcomings to see the good in you. They may not judge you, but will tell a spade is spade, will not sugar coat facts or mince words. They will stand by you, your support when you need them. When you need them the most they will be there for you, advising you, being that patient ear that you need when you have to have a heart-to-heart.

They know you for who you are and can see through you fears, what you try to hide away from others, the lies you tell others. They know you through and through. Nothing is hidden from them. They are your sanctuary in the stormy seas, your anchor, who's company makes you feel safe and secure. Their hugs are the warmth you crave that brings about a calming effect on you.

They know you, your every nuances. They know what they need to do calm you down. They share your secrets and fears, often making you strong.

No wonder friendship is a bond that forms a basis for so many other. Our blessings and something we will always be grateful for and cherish.

In Memories

You lived your life 

Doing the things you loved

Surrounded by the ones you loved

Your passion and devotion 

Was not limited to your loved ones

But also to the children you taught 

You liked things neat and clean

And in its proper place

And if it they were not

Then it would upset you

Your life seemed fulfilled 

But then the fates had other plans

A discovery shook you

But your faith and devotion

Made you strong 

So you decided to fight on

You believed and hoped for a miracle

And That kept you going on

So days went by

And the disease took its toll

It may have broken your body

It didn't break your soul

Your pain was great

Beyond compare

But you never did let it 

Put you down

You fought valiantly

Till the very end

Though you may have questioned

You remained strong

And so God rewarded you

With an eternal rest

And now that you're gone

We do miss your presence

But we know that 

Where ever you may be

You're looking down at us

Watching over us 

Our angel in heaven

The void of your absence

Is filled with the memories

Which you made

Throughout your life

Through the lives you've touched

Who forever will remain grateful

For having you as their

Teacher, friend and guide

And though you may have gone 

To place in the great beyond

You continue to be with us forever

And in our mind and heart

Forever there is where you'll be
