Heart and Soul

He sat there at the bar nursing his drink, keeping to himself, occasionally scanning the room, taking in all who were there, most of whom were the regular patron who had come there after a long day of work, trying their best to unwind over their drinks. A few had taken to the dance floor, showing off the moves they had learned.

He sat there, quietly with his drink, savouring every sip, minding his own business.

He could feel the eyes that were on him, the sly glances his way. He was an attractive man, even though he never agreed to this assessment. Although he was dressed casually, he was indeed one fine, rugged looking man. He could easily be a cover model of any of those romantic novels. But still he never thought of himself that way.

He was very aware that many of those eyes were quietly undressing him, wanting to take him to bed, wondering what he would be like in bed.

Though he never liked the attention, but secretly he savoured it. It felt good to be desired and know that none of  them could have him.

And just as he was lost in his thoughts, he saw a sight that literally snapped him out of his self-adulation and back down to earth.

Who was this magnificent creature, he wondered. They certainly wasn’t one of the regular patrons, or he would have known them.

He just couldn’t take his eyes off them like many of the others who were totally enamoured by them.

And though he tried to not to make it too obvious he couldn’t help be drawn towards them. It didn’t help that they sat right opposite him at the bar, right within his line of sight.

So he kept glancing in their direction diverting his gaze when his glances was caught.

Just as he felt like he was going to keep it all together a familiar tune began to play.

He found himself walking towards them, like a moth drawn towards a flame, wanting to  ask them for a dance but somewhere scared that his request would be rejected.

To his surprise, they placed their hands in his and followed him to dance floor.

He just couldn’t believe his luck. He was very aware that all eyes were on them, many of those were envious. He just didn’t care. He felt like the luckiest man in the room who had this beautiful person in his arms. Others would have given anything for just a chance but it was as him they had chosen to dance with.

As they danced to the music, he felt them come close to him, and hold him tight, to the point it felt like their two bodies were one, moving in unison to the music.

He could feel their breath upon his face. He felt the warmth of their body as they pressed it against his. He could feel the beating of their heart.

Life couldn’t get any better than this.

He felt so attracted and drawn to them. He didn’t  know what got into him, he leaned in, half expecting his advance to be rebuffed, but he couldn’t help himself, he had to give it shot and pray it happened.

To his pleasant surprise, their lips met his, halfway. And then they kissed. Not a simple a peck, but a beautiful passionate one, right there on the dance floor.

They didn’t care that others were privy to their kiss, for them the world just faded away. It just two of them on the dance floor and the others faded away to the background.

He wished this kiss would go on, but then they broke the spell he was on. They looked coyly into his eyes and placed their head on his shoulder as they continued to dance.

They then whispered in his ears, “Just wanted you to know that I am married.“

“That’s ok”, he whispered back, “so am I,” he said with a smile.

“I wonder what my husband would say if he found about our kiss,” they said with a coy smile.

“I don’t think he would mind,” he said as they continued to dance.

“I wonder what would mine say,” he asked with a sly smile.

“Well”, they said glancing into his eyes, “ I think he would say, Happy Anniversary my love.”

As he said this he leant in and kissed him passionately once again as they continued to dance, two handsome men in each others  arms, sharing a tender moment, celebrating their union, as the music continued to play -

Heart and soul

I fell in love with you

Heart and soul

The way a fool would do Madly Yeah

Because you held me tight

And stole a kiss there in the night

Heart and soul

I beg to be adored

Yes, and I lost control

And tumbled overboard Gladly

That magic night we kissed

There in the moon mist

Oh, but your lips were thrilling

Never before were mine so

Strangely willing

Darling, and now I see

What one embrace can do

Come on and look at me

You've got me loving you Madly

That little kiss you stole

All my heart and soul”

THE Orgasm

His body trembled with every stroke

Quivered with every sensation

His senses wide awake

Letting him feel things

That he had never felt before

Never in the way he felt them now

Every touch, every smell, every sensation

Everything felt so new,

Everything felt so wonderfully strange

Everything alive all at once

He could feel the skin on his skin

The sweat trickling down

The sweet smell of sweat

The aphrodisiac for his soul

Adding fuel to the fire within

His body burning with passion

Trembling with every touch

Like tiny little bomb under his skin

All waiting to go off

The pressure building deep inside

A stirring deep within him

A fire that was once simmering

Was now burning bright

A sound rose through him

And released into a moan

And he moaned over and over again

He was a prisoner of pleasure

But a prisoner who didn’t want to be free

His heart raced with excitement

Beating like it never ever done before

His body writhed with sheer pleasure

He held on and he moaned

Till he couldn’t hold no more

Like an exploding firework he came

A sensation he had never felt before

The pressure releasing all once

He let out a final moan

And collapsed in the arms of his lover

Into sweet embrace

And he cried

He cried out of pleasure, out of happiness

Cried for the joy of the moment

And he wondered

Wondered what this could be

Could this be an orgasm

Was it possible for men to have one

But he didn’t care about the answer

Cause whatever the answer maybe

He just had one

One with someone he truly loved

And that was all that mattered

And so he believed

Men can have orgasms too

Love at First Dance

She had seen this place a numerous times, in pictures, but never in person. Yet as she walked towards it, she was not prepared to take in how beautiful it was. She wanted to but she had other things on her mind. Inspite it all what she saw took her breath away.

As she walked towards it she could feel the butterflies flutter in her stomach. Although she tried to calm them down, they just refused to settle. She could feel them fluttering around her stomach. She could feel her nerves.

Why oh why did she agree to something so crazy, something she had never done before, something that she would never do. Yet here she was, on the brink of doing the unthinkable, something she never thought she was capable of. She normally never gave into peer pressure, but how did she made an exception to do this?

She walked towards the place, and stood with her back to the light post. She could feel her heart beat at a million km/hr, threatening to explode from her chest, if that was possible. As she stood there, she would hear his footsteps, causing her heart to race even faster. She was tempted to turn around and get a quick peek. But then that was not what she was instructed to do. She waited patiently, fighting the temptation.

And then the music began to play. She turned around, going from post to post trying to catch a glimpse of him. But then he too did the same. So they continued to dodge each other, each trying to get the glimpse of the other, till their eyes finally met and they locked on to each other, and never left each other for the rest of the moment.

He was the most handsome man she had set her eyes, at least in a while (ok make that in quite a while). He was athletically built but not muscular. He was lean but not ripped. He was not a model but he could definitely get heads to turn, to stand out in a crowd. He was stylish, and though you could credit the stylist for that, whatever he wore, he carried it with aplomb and swag that was all his own, you could give him that, no one could take that away from him. He may have not been perfect, but for her he was her version of the perfect Prince Charming.

He took her by the hand and twirled her, causing her heart to skip a beat. He held her firmly by the shoulder but not roughly, rather tenderly. He gently caressed her with his fingertips, letting them run down the side of her neck, never once making her feel uncomfortable, sending a tingling feeling down her spine. She fell backward into his arms, in an almost trust-fall, melting into his arms. He caught her and twirled with ease, lifting her, making feel as light as a feather. As he guided her, lead her, he made her feel safe and secure, as they flowed from post to post, in sync to the music.

Not once did he break eye contact, speaking through his touch, through his eyes, assuring her “we’ve got this! I’ve got you!” Not once did he make her feel awkward or uncomfortable. She felt safe and secure, she felt like she was floating on air, light as a feather. She felt like a princess in a fairytale, and the place only added to it. His every touch sent so many sparks flying. She felt combustible, as if his touch lit a thousand of flames within her. She didn’t care about choreography. She just followed his every lead.

He was no professional but his leads were clear and precise. He guided her across with ease and purpose. If he was nervous or uncertain, he didn’t show it. He was confident and had poise and grace. When it came to the final lift, he caught her by the waist as she came towards him, lifting her up, while turning around, slowly bringing her down as they continued to spin, into his arms, and melting on to the floor, where they lay for a while, which felt like eternity.

As she lay there in his arms, with her head on chest, she didn’t want the moment to end. She didn’t care about the light drizzle that had begun to fall. She just wanted to lay there in his arms, staring into the endless sky, like what could lay in front of them.

But like everything, the moment had to come to end. The song may have come to end but they still continued to breathe in unison. He got to his feet and helped her up, like the gentleman he was. As she walked away, he waited to see her go, and then went on his way, as if hoping for one more glance, hoping she would turn around one more time.

As she walked with her hand on her heart, she could feel her heart flutter. She tried to catch her breath, to calm herself down, but it just refused to calm down. How could it after it had experienced something truly magical, something right out of the pages of a romance novel. This was something so unlike her. Though she was hesitant, had her doubts, thinking it the most foolish thing she had ever done, risking it all. But now that she had done it, she was glad to have taken the chance, taken the risk. She couldn’t get enough of it, she wanted more.

Who was he, the man who had swept her off her feet, danced his way into her heart. Who had set her heart on fire, who set fire to the rain. Who was he? She needed to know more about him, she craved for his touch, for the chemistry they shared. She needed more of him. And as she walked away, she wondered if it was possible to fall in love at first dance!

Strangers in the Night

He saw her from across the room, seated at the bar, slowly sipping her drink. Her angelic appearance made her seem out of place in this bar that was slowly filling with office-goers, men and women worn-out from their daily routines, who had come to unwind, and a few to drown their sorrows. She seemed unperturbed by the crowd around her and kept to herself and her drink.

She saw him from her seat at the bar, ruggedly handsome, not all primp and manicured as most of the guys in the room. She felt an awkwardness when she caught his gaze looking her way. She was surprised that he didn’t try to look away on being caught. Her heart almost fluttered, if it could flutter, when he got up from his seat and walked towards the bar, in her direction.

“Is this seat taken?” He asked. She opened her mouth to say something but words seemed to have deserted her. Instead she could only muster a polite nod. He placed his drink on the bar and took the seat right next to hers, making her feel even more nervous.

“It’s surely a crime that a beauty like you should be seated all by herself,” he said nonchalantly. Although she felt it corny, she took no offence to it. He radiated a smouldering masculinity that she had seldom seen in other men. Once again she opened her mouth to say something but couldn’t muster herself to speak. Once again words seemed to have deserted her. “Why am I so tongue-tied?” she asked herself, “Why can’t I just answer him?” Ignoring her awkwardness, he continued, “But then you are a lady who wouldn’t care whether or not others gave her attention.” He said with a smug smile.
These words caught her unaware, causing something inside her melt. She took a deep, silent breath, to compose herself and get a grip of her thoughts. She finally spoke, “People see what they want to see,” she said in a low voice, almost a whisper, “and I don’t think I am what they would like to see. So let them see what they want to see, and I will see what I need to see”.

He smiled, once again causing her to melt a bit more, but by now she was more composed. “Touché!” he said, “Well said! So let’s drink to that.” Saying this he lifted his glass, clinked it against her, and took a sip of his drink.

“You don’t seem from around here?” She said, gaining the confidence to have a conversation with him, “What brings you to this side of town?” He once again took a sip of his drink and smiled at her. “Well, I am what you call an out-of-towner”, he said swirling his drink, “in town to meet someone who needs my help.”

“Wow! That must be one lucky lady to have someone like you to come to her rescue,” she said with a sly smile. He shifted his haze from his drink to her face, once again causing that same giddy feeling that she felt ever since he came to sit next to her at the bar. “How do you know that the person I am to meet, needs rescuing?” he said arching his eyebrows, “and what makes you think that this person is a woman?”

“Well, you could call it a woman’s intuition,” she said, trying to sound as cool and calm as possible, trying not to show the effect that he had on her. He laughed at her response, “Well then, I will drink to that, to a woman’s intuition”, he said taking a sip from his drink, “who I will meet, only the night will tell.”

And so began a conversation, a source of companionship for those brief hours. People who looked upon them would have assumed that they were good friends, never releasing that they were strangers to each other, brought together by coincidence and some harmless flirting. As the night wore on, the crowd at the bar began to lessen as the patrons slowly made their way home to crash into their beds, in deep slumber, to retire for the rest of the night.

He leaned towards her and whispered in her ears, “let’s get out of this place before we become the only two souls left in this bar.” Saying this he took her by the hand and lead her on. She couldn’t protest or even ask where they were going, she was so enamoured and captivated by him, he had put her spell on her she was compelled to follow. She didn’t want to protest, didn’t want to know where they were going, she just followed his lead.
They walked down cobbled streets that were mostly deserted, except for a few passed out drunks fallen on the streets. They passed a group who were all lost in singing some bawdy song, often way off key, and some few other souls who were hurrying home for the night.

They came to the fountain that formed the centre of the city, which was lined with cafes, most of whom were deserted, closed for the night. They sat on the bench that overlooked the fountain. Somewhere out of a tavern a melody softly drifted out.

He stood up and gently took her by the hand, pulling her close to him. She could almost smell him, an intoxicating, divine smell. She could feel herself falling for him, falling into a deep abyss she felt she couldn’t find her way out. But was she capable of falling in love, she wondered.
He pulled her closer to him, now she should almost feel his breath on her face. At any moment their lips would meet and sparks would fly setting free the passion that was so long held back. But before their lips could meet, he smiled and instinctively, she put her head against his chest. Putting his hands across her waist. Holding her, he slowly moved her to the tune that wafted out.

They were two strangers in the night, two lonely people, wondering what were the chances, they’d be falling in love before the night was through, whether love was just a glance a way, a warm embracing dance away. Anyone who happened to looked upon them would have assumed that they were lovers out on a clandestine meeting, two lonely souls who found each other in the night. Little did they know that they were just two strangers in the night. They continued to slow dance until the music slowly faded away, as it had started.

Now it was her turn to whisper into his ear. She stood on the tips of her toes so that she could reach his ears. “Let’s move from here,” she whispered. But instead of following her lead, he said with a mischievous grin, “Where are you taking me?” “Don’t worry it’s a beautiful place and you’ll be safe, I won’t harm you”, she said teasingly, playing along with his mischievous way. “Isn’t that my lines?” He said with a mischievous smile. But he didn’t protest, he just followed her.
Again, they made their way through deserted streets, pass drunken people and down a street that led them out of the city. They walked for a while till they came to a small park (if you could call it a park) that overlooked the sea below.

She sat down on the grass that was damp from the night’s dew, and pulled him down with her. He sat down hesitatingly, at first worried about spoiling his clothes but in the end he sat beside her. She put her head on his shoulder and together they stared at the point where the sky met the sea, admiring the view that was in front of them.

“This is indeed a very beautiful place,” he finally said, breaking the momentary silence that had come between them. “I had told you so, and see there’s nothing for you to be afraid of,” she said, continuing to tease him. “I have been coming to this place as far as I can remember. It is a place I am most at peace. I have always felt that this is the place that gave me birth, and this is the place I would love to rest for all eternity.”
Once again there was silence between them. But it was not an awkward silence, just a silence in which two souls were enjoying each other’s company, grateful for each other’s presence. She continued to keep her head on his shoulder, grateful for his presence. He in turn put his hand around her waist.

“Where do you think souls go after they leave their earthly dwelling?” She said, half expecting him to give her a, “are you mad or what” look. But he continued to stare at the sky and thoughtfully responded to her. “There are many things that happens to a soul once it completes it dwelling on earth. It all depends on what you believe in”, he explained. “Some believe that once you complete your journey here on earth, you become a star in the sky, shining down on your loved ones you have left behind.”
“I remember that”, she said melancholically. “I remember my mother telling me this. I believed her as a child but as I grew older I felt this thought to be plain silly. But I am a lost star trying to find my way home.”

He gave her a quizzical look, but then smiled gently. “Do you remember, I told you that I felt that this place gave birth to me,” she said softy, as if revealing a deep secret, “and this is the place where I want to spend the rest of my life?” Then taking a deep breath, she continued, “This is the place where I met my end.”

She expected he would think of her as a crazy fool and just leave her and go. But he continued to sit next to her, showing no signs of making a run for the roads.
She took courage from his continued presence. “I met my end at this very place and ever since I am trying to find my way home, a lost soul in the dark”, she said softly, hoping he would understand what she was trying to tell him.

He turned to her and pulled her closer to him. She could feel his breath on her face almost causing her heart to beat faster, that’s if she still had a beating heart. This was not the reaction she had expected, but would take it any day. He whispered to her, “I know who you are my dear,” he said with a smile, “I’ve known who you are all along. I am death and I am here to take you home.” Saying this he pulled her closer to him and their lips met and kissed her passionately. There was a burst of light and in the night sky a new star was born.

Said I Love You... But I Lied

She had said yes and with it accepted that she was ready to say I do, but still something felt strange inside. She said I love you but she knew she had lied, cause what she felt was more than love.

She couldn’t bear to be away from him. A moment apart made her feel like a lifetime, leaving her counting down the minutes till they were together. She could give anything to be wrapped up in his arms, cause there she was safe, it was her home. She wanted to spend each waking moment with him. His was the last face she wanted to see at night, the first thing to see when she woke up in the morning.

She wanted to lay down by his side, all wrapped up in his arms, making the whole world slowly fade away, nothing else mattered, cause by his side was where she wanted to be, where she was meant to be. This was all novel to her, she had never felt this way before. All she wanted was the touch of his skin against. She loved the way it felt, his skin against hers, the smell of him, his peculiar musky smell.

She didn’t want to seem clingy, desperate, but she couldn’t help it, she couldn’t help herself, she was falling deeper and deeper into the great abyss. She couldn’t stop herself from thinking of him, feeling insecure when she didn’t here from him, wondering if he felt the same way too. She just couldn’t help herself. She couldn’t shake this uneasy feeling when he was not with her. Though she scolded herself for overthinking, she couldn’t help but overthink every moment.

She didn’t want to seem desperate or feel like a fool. But when she missed him she felt herself incomplete, felt an uneasy feeling within her. He had chipped away at her exterior, broken her down and melted her away, only to make her while once more. She had swore to never to let anyone rule her life, but then he was ruling her mind. She had not just given her heart to him, her life was his. She knew that he felt the same, or she hoped he felt the same.

This certainly couldn’t be love. Love couldn’t be more beautiful and cruel at the same time. Even though she said I love you but she lied, cause this more than love she felt inside. She said I love you but was wrong, love could never be so strong.
