.. don’t cry over spilled milk!!!

Life is full of moments once gone will never return. Moments never in one’s control, no matter how hard we try.

We are human, and as humans we are bound to make mistakes, no matter how hard we try, no matter how careful we are. Mistakes are bound to happen, and once done there’s nothing we can do to undo them.

What we can only try and do is accept it and move on, and we can try to lessen their impact. But we need to learn to move on.

There’s no use beating ourselves about it. We will never be able to undo what’s done, just like how hard we may try, we can never make someone love us. You’ve got just let go and move on. But learn from it otherwise it would be a waste of a mistake that’s bound to happen once again.

You are going to fall, you’re going to get hurt. You are going to suffer heartaches and heartbreaks (and may even break hearts along the way), you’re going to shed a few tears (ok make it a lot of tears). You are going to question and have self-doubts, have those nerves get the better of you. You are always going to feel you’re not enough, cause there’s never enough.

You are always going to feel you’re not earning enough, always going to have those money woes, unable to save, wondering if you would ever have enough of money.

You’ll always going to be a bit envious of those who you feel do.

Take a deep breath, it’s going to be alright, you’re going to be alright. You’re going to survive no matter what comes your way. Life maybe challenging but you’re up to the challenge. Life maybe be tough and rough, but when the going gets tough, the tough gets tougher. When the going gets rough, the tough get rough.

You’re going to fall, so just pick yourself, dust yourself off and move on. You’ll be alright, you’ll always find way to be alright.

So don’t fret, don’t overthink (like you’re ever going to stop doing it), just move on, cause in life there’s no use in crying over spilled milk!!!

Hate Begets Hate

Hate begets hate

The hate you give

Is the hate you’ll receive

A vicious cycle of no healing

Just more wounds and pain

A word when held as a weapon

That can cut sharper and deeper

Than any sword

Creating fissure, tearing apart

What once was whole and beautiful

What was once together

But now broken and shattered to a million pieces

All toothless and blind

Hate doesn’t bring any solution

It just leads to more hurt, more pain

More resentment, more life gone in vain

Hate is not the answer

Hate is not a balm

Hate just creates more wounds

Where there was once none

Hate consume you whole

Like a fire that consumes a soul

Hates takes over your body, mind and soul

So if you do want to stop this cycle of hate

Learn not give into the seduction of these words

Maybe then there would be a little bit of peace

So let’s not given into hate

The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

Oh child, dear child

Though you may think

That the grass greener

On the other side

What you have is beautiful too

And although others may have

What you don’t

They don’t have what you have

And though their pastures

May seem greener

There’s nothing wrong

With what you have

So don’t fret, don’t worry

Don’t ever regret

You have the tools

To help make your grass greener too

So don’t complain

‘Cause only you will feel that pain

It’s only you to face the blame

Instead work hard

Ans enjoy the fruits you have sown

And let someone else envy

Your Greener Grass of your own

It’s OK to not be OK

It’s ok to no be ok
To be what the world doesn’t want you to be
To not conform to the norms
That society sets upon you
That it dictates
It ok to be yourself
A little broken
A little damaged
A little bruised

It’s ok to not be ok
To ride life like a roller coaster
One moment you’re up
And the next you’re down
To ride through the highs and lows
It’s ok that you feel low sometimes
Cause you can’t always stay high
Unless you’re smoking a joint
In that case you’re going to be high
But don’t be scared when you’re low
Ride it out, fight it out
Cause what goes down
Will always bounce back up
So it’s ok to have highs and lows

It’s ok to seek out help
To reach out there
And grab that hand that reaches you back
It’s ok to admit that you’re not ok
Cause when you admit
You set yourself free
And let someone in
To help you get out
Seeking help want make you small
Or even less brave or valiant
But seeking help will help you get out
Of the vicious cycle you find yourself in

It ok to fall in love
To risk it all on the one
To let your heart love and be loved
To wear it on your sleeve
To let that one capture your mind
Take conquer your heart and occupy it
It’s ok to want to love and be loved
It may work, it may end
You cannot always have a happy ever after
Your heart may break
But you pick up broken pieces
And you move on
It’s ok to never give up on it

It ok to put your happiness first sometime
Or for that matter any times
Cause when you’re happy
Others around you will be happy
And you don’t have to make them happy
It’s ok to not seek out their happiness
Or put their happiness before yours
It’s ok to find what makes you happy and do it
It’s ok to have desires, wants and needs
It’s ok to seek them out and fulfil it
To be bit dirty and grimy
And not always be a goody-two-shoes

It’s ok to cry sometimes
To let it all out what you’re feeling within
You don’t have to wail out loud
Or beat your chest and tear off your hair
You can do it in your own private space
Where there’s no one to see
Or under the shower or in the rains
Where your tears mixes with streams of water
And gets hidden from yourself and the world
It doesn’t make you less of person if you cry
It’s a way of letting out what you feel
Instead of letting it fester within

It’s ok to be scared sometimes
Cause we can’t always be brave
Cause the future is unknown
And you never know what is to come
And if you fear the unknown
Then it’s ok to be scared and wanted to be protected
Form that what you don’t know
It’s ok be scared

So it’s ok to not be ok
It’s ok to admit that you need help
That you need a friend
It’s ok to wanting to be in love
To putting it all on the line
It’s ok to want to be happy
To fulfil your desires, wants and needs
It’s ok to cry, to be scared and alone
It doesn’t make you less of a man
It’s ok to not be ok!

Well Hello... Mr. Loneliness

Hey Loneliness my old friend! Looks like we meet again! But then you were never ever gone, with me all along. So how are you doing? When would you be leaving? Don’t you have other better things to do, instead of wanting to do you? Like an uninvited guest you’ve overstayed your welcome (but in the first place when were you ever welcomed), so when would you be packing your bag and leaving, cause you’re the one thing I don’t need even if I ain’t grieving.

Like a lover you refuse to leave my side, if that’s case I would rather love than have you by my side, and if there were a lover then there would be no other to leave me lonely alone.

Aren’t there others to stalk, more deserving candidates that I am not. Why don’t you give them a short, as you’ve done for me, to get to know you really well from all the time we’ve spent, hopefully not birds of a feather, cause there’s no way I would want us to flock together.

Isn’t there a poor soul out there who deserves to be more lonelier than me (though I really pray not). Don’t you think it’s time we move on, to better things in life, though I wonder and shudder thinking what would be better for you.

If you love me then why do you hurt me? Why do you revel in the agony of cutting me and leaving me bleeding. Such torture, I say, is sadistic, unbecoming of a lover. But then you’re unlike any lover, you’ll just laugh as I lay there bleeding, leaving me to wonder what pleasure do you get from doing so? What high do you get from making me feel low and alone.

May be it’s time we take a break from each other, not the Ross and Rachel kind, a real kind of break, let’s say forever. Try to find another, to say goodbye to each other. To bid farewell, not for a while or a mile, but for all time to come. I really hope we don’t see each other... ever.

We all fall in love sometime

We all fall in love sometime
It’s something that we can’t help
It’s something that just happens
We just love the feeling of being in love
The hopeless romantic who’s lost all hope
We all fall in love sometime

No matter how much we try to hide from it
No matter how much we try to run away from it
No matter how much we avoid it
It always finds us
Maybe we just bad at the game of hide and seek
Or we just like to be tortured
Of the feeling of being in love
But let’s face it, we are a lost cause
We all fall in love sometime

It’s the most beautiful feeling in this world
To be loved by someone who loves you
But it’s the most cruelest feeling in the world
Bringing with it a world of hurt
When things don’t really go your way
When you don’t meet the one
You were meant to be with
At least that what you feel in your head
It can make you the loneliest soul in the world
Leaving you feeling insecure and restless
Despite all this, we all fall in love sometime

Don’t let anyone, don’t let anything
Tell you who you should fall in love it
Cause we don’t know either
Maybe they could point us in the general direction
Now wouldn’t that be swell
Wouldn’t that would save us the time and effort
But you know what
No matter what they say
We still fall in love sometime

Let no one tell you your love is not right
Your love is immoral
That you are not meant to be
With the one you love
Its against the very shred of nature
Cause I really don’t think they know either
What love actually is
Other than what they have been thought
The lessons they have by hearted
They rote learned like a parrot
Using someone else’s thought
Understanding and perception
Of what love should be
Never truly trying to get the big picture
But sadly their narrow minds
And small head may never ever fathom
That we all have to fall in love sometime
With the one we are meant to love
And we may not really know who

So put all the thoughts behind
Let go and a chance, take the risk
Jump off that cliff
Never knowing if you would sore
Or fall plat on the ground
A smooshed bloth on the earth
Cause we all need to fall in love sometime

Who Benefits Anyways???

Another week, another set of lives lost, life nipped at the bud, leading people to take to the street, sloganising (ok I made that word up), burning effigies, trying to shutter shops in protest (trying to capture their actions on their mobile phone, or are they doing a Facebook live), creating a general sense of uneasiness, conducting candle light marches, political parties trying to make the most of the situation that presents it smelt, adding weapons in their arsenal to attack each other, to earn brownie points, engaging in mud slinging instead providing a united front, creating makeshift memorials, hanging shradanjali posters, whether they mean it is another question altogether. And then you have runs organised for the victims (on cue).

But how does these actions benefit the ones who happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time, the victim of someone’s delusional sense of self-righteousness, delusional ideologies, religion and concept of heaven. How would all these postering and sloganing benefit them. The only fire that their families would burn would be that of funeral pyres, the only things they would bury would be their loved ones. Give sometime and these attacks would find themselves as yet another page in the sordid history, all but forgotten, buried in the numerous chapters of war mongering, except by those who suffered great loss.

How would shutting shops (let’s face it, this ain’t done voluntarily but more out of fear), and calling for bandhs help them? In fact you end up causing loss, you’re creating a tense climate. Instead it would be better notion of donating a days earning to them.

What we would need to do is to hold responsible the elected members, the ones who claim to represent people. Hold them accountable for the failure to act upon intelligence reports (and online chatter). It’s time we perform our civic duty judiciously, not leaving it in the hands of the ones who can be bought, ensuring that the uncorruptable are elected and are not corrupted, seduced by power. Making a well thought and analysed choice. The ones who would take a stand against lawless neighbours who refuses to see their decent into anarchy, hiding the delusional like a mother would hide her child from corrective actions, from bullies, both National and international, who in their own way try to turn a blind eye.

Once we become a stronger nation no more would a parent have to say goodbye to their child, no spouse would have to mourn the loss of their loved one, no child would have to loose their parent. We need to rise and bring about a change in ourselves first before we begin thinking on a national level, right the wrongs we do, otherwise no one will benefit, and the nation and the world would descend into a toothless and blind world.

The Labour Day Pondering

Come the month of May and you usher the beginning of the month with the celebration of international labour day, kamgar divas, or whatever you may call it in your part of the world. But how much change has occurred in all these years, in terms of benefits to the working class... well you could argue and debate on this... but the truth be told, we laboured then and we continue to labour even today, it’s like going through contractions without delivering the baby.

Hundred of years back labourers stuck work and took out demonstrations for fair wage and humane working hours. In today’s world I wonder how fair are our wages or humane are our working hours. This holds true whether you are a white-collared, blue-collared or no collared labourer.

An eight hours work day is something which we can only dream of. So forget about working for eight hours, many organisations (read managers) expect you to work for a minimum nine to ten hours, often penalising you for not completing the required hours, but again this all depends on your manager. Considering we work for a global market, very often you find yourself working well beyond twelves hours, often bending over backward. Sometime with all these stretching and bending over I wonder if I would become a rubber band, elastic man, with superpowers to stretch beyond humanly possible, or would I become adept at belly dancing with all the bending over backwards.

The benefits are enjoyed by a privileged few. The upper echelons, the favourites, their minions. These are the ones who get to lick off the cream of the benefits, promotions, benefits, paid vacations. Very few deserving people actually get what they deserve. With so many chamchas and butt-kissers that it’s no surprise that there’s nothing much left for the rest. Sometimes i wonder if we could use these chamchas in the cafeteria when they fall short of spoons, or do the butt-kisser love to rim, the sexual act of stimulating pleasure by kissing, licking, the anus of the partner.

Appraisals and promotions are subjective, subject to the company’s performance, the company’s deemed performance, or your equation in the company. And if they are objective, they are pain to gather all the data and present them. Very often you are left trying to figure out where exactly is the raise, a great mystery, thank to the bell curve. And then you are awarded a zero percent raise for all your hard work and labour, thus clubbing you with non-performing resources, much to your charging, much to the selfish glee of your not so well wisher.

Well no matter how much we may rave and rant and bitch, to each other and on social media, nothing much will ever change, cause nothing really matters to such organisations. Like a duck’s back all this will just roll off them. And even if try to do something, it would be just for show. If one ain’t smart there are always chance of them being taken advantage of.

In the end nothing has truly changed. We laboured then and we continue to labour even now, just we are now a more sophisticated labourers.
